Nursing Program Instructor
Under the direction of the Director of the School of Vocational Nursing, the Instructor plans, implements, and evaluates all aspects of teaching assigned material to vocational nursing students in a classroom setting. In addition, the Instructor is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing through supervision, and evaluating clinical learning experiences for vocational nursing students. The Instructor will also participate in departmental operations.
Shall have a Bachelors degree or equivalent experience that will demonstrate competency or advanced preparation in nursing, education, and/or supervision.
Must be a Registered Nurse licensed to practice in the State of Texas. Must have been actively employed in nursing for the past three years, preferably in a variety of settings. A qualification form must be completed, submitted to, and approved by the Board of Vocational Nursing Examiners before hiring. Possesses knowledge and skills in computer utilization, especially word processing.
