Conveniently located in the heart of Rutland, Rutland Helathcare & Rehabilitation Center provides Physical, Occupational, Speech and Respiratory Therapy. In addition to ShortStay Rehabilitation, the Center also provides LongTerm Care and Memory Impairment services in a secure and safe environment to meet the special needs of our patients. Rutland Healthcare provides a comfortable, home-like setting to patients, residents and families along with providing professional nursing care with the utmost compassion.
The Director of Nursing is responsible for administration of nursing service in the center. He/she directs, plans, and coordinates service activities of professional nursing and auxiliary nursing personnel in rendering customer care. The Director of Nursing interprets center policies and regulations to all nursing personnel and ensures compliance, as well as analyzes and evaluates nursing and related services rendered to improve quality of customer care and to better utilize staff time and abilities. Also, ensures that the center adheres to the legal, safety, health, fire and sanitation codes by being familiar with his/her role in carrying out the center's fire, safety and disaster plans and by being familiar with current MSDS; Puts Customer Service First: Ensures that customers and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere which recognizes the individuals' needs and rights; Performs other duties as requested.
Qualifications : The Director of Nursing Services must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing, college or university with a current registered nurse licensure by the State Board of Nursing. A minimum of five years full-time or equivalent clinical experience with at least two years experience in nursing supervision in the long-term care setting is required.
