Saint Francis Campus
Various shifts and hours are available, including Per Diem...
The Cardiac Intensive Care Unit is a 20-bed unit serving our rapidly expanding Cardiology/CV surgery program. This unit offers critical care nurses the opportunity to work with an outstanding team of highly qualified caregivers, cardiologists, and cardio-thoracic surgeons with a clear focus on needs of cardiac patients. State of the art technologies include induced hypothermia, intra-aortic balloon pump, ventricular assist devise, CRRT, and order set/ protocol driven evidence based practice. Complex Care Rounds are led by a CV Surgeon and are held weekly with representatives from all disciplines involved in CICU patient care. We have once a month "CICU Ask the Surgeon" open dialogue sessions. Our "shared governance" model continues to evolve with strategies to provide positive outcomes for staff and patients.
We have also created a Critical Care Float pool with lucrative base pay and full benefits. Limited openings exist. Apply or call 860-714-HIRE with questions today!
To join our team you'll need to be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing with current Connecticut registration and a minimum of one year experience in a critical care setting.
