Under the general supervision of the Radiology Services Manager and direct supervision of the Lead Radiology Staff Nurse and according toestablished policies and procedures coordinates total nursing care for patients, participants in patient and family teaching, acts as a patient/family advocate, and works with other nursing and ancillary personnel to maintain standards for professional nursing practice in a Radiology setting. Work is of a very confidential nature. Performs other duties of the department as required.
Education, Training and Experience:
Graduation from an approved Nursing Education program and current NC or multistate RN licensure required. One to two years of professional nursing experience. The employee must have the ability to understand, communicate and react effectively to the unique needs of neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. CPR certification required and provided. ACLS and PALS required or must be obtained within 12 months from date of hire.
