Job Description:Responsible for improving patient safety by initiating, coordinating, and facilitating the investigation of quality of care concerns identified through the E-Feedback Event Review Process.  Responsible for ongoing revisions and recommendations, and implementation of process and strategy concerning serious safety events.  Champions organizational priorities related to improving patient safety and culture while accessing and developing collaborative relationships with the appropriate resources i.e. physicians, nursing, clinical providers, administration and non clinical staff.  Provide consultation and educational services to clinical leadership, nursing, and organizational committees as it relates to patient safety issues.
Requirements:

Required Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in related field.
- Minimum five years current work experience in an acute care or tertiary care facility. 
- Current experience and demonstrated knowledge of patient safety and/or quality improvement. 
- Demonstrated experience and skill in developing relationships at multiple levels of the organization, facilitating adult education, project management, team facilitation, and advancing organizational strategic plans through to implementation.

Required Credentials:
- Current license in the state of Washington as either a Registered Nurse, Registered Pharmacist, Respiratory Therapist, or certified as a Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) by the Healthcare Quality Certification Board.

Preferred:
- Master’s in Clinical field, Healthcare Administration, Human Factors Engineering or Business Administration.
- Pediatric experience.
- Demonstrated ability to manage timed events.
- Experience in risk management.
- Data analysis.
