Job Description

Summary:

The Project Coord Lead RN - Ntwk coordinates activities and resources for nursing projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops and coordinates implementation of nursing projects/processes of a moderate to complex nature
  • Collaborates with Nursing leadership in designing processes that address current trends in healthcare, organizational goals and staff/patient issues
  • Conducts research and makes recommendations for feasible approaches for redesign/system improvements
  • Develops time lines and implementation plans to meet goals for clinical practice, including cost management and physician, staff and patient satisfaction
  • Provides strategic and tactile advice and leadership required for the implementation plans to meet goals for clinical practice, physician, staff and patient satisfaction. Provides consultation to site and network stakeholders to facilitate effective implementation and evaluation of newly designed systems.
  • Presents progress of projects(s)/process to key stakeholders regularly. Designs and produces reports required by management.  Manages change management with management and facilitates effective change with more complex network, site, specialty and department projects. Integrates system scopes and project objectives of aligned departments. Utilizes project management techniques in organizing work and project plans. 
  • Provides consultative oversight for the ongoing implementation and evaluation of system processes including regulatory compliance, patient care delivery, performance improvement and documentation.  Manages performance improvement processes specific to systems and coordinates implementation including collecting and analyzing performance improvement data.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's Level Degree, And, Five (5) years experience in staff education, management, and/or project coordination is required. 
  • Healthcare or clinical experience is strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree is required. 
  • Either the Bachelor’s or Master’s degree must be in Nursing. 
  • Master’s degree is preferred.

Licenses & Certifications:

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in the state of Texas is required or must be obtained prior to hire or job transfer date.
