Description/Purpose of Position:
Responsible for assuring patient care meets the standard of care. Collaborates with clinical directors to ensure care is provided within established standards and is evidence based. Collaborates with her team to provide clinical training and competency assessment of nursing staff. Analyzes wound prevalence and collaborates with clinical directors to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies, best practice standards, and expected patient outcomes.
Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing with a Bachelor Degree in Nursing
Experience: Minimum of five (5) years clinical experience, with emphasis in critical care. Clinical Nurse Specialist preferred
Technical Skills: Microsoft office tools, 0excellent written and verbal communication skills, be able to work independently and supervise others.
License/Certification: Current RN license in the State of Nevada. Current BCLS Certification.
Other: Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care/service appropriate to the age of the patients served. Must be familiar with wound pathophysiology and treatment modalities and be able to articulate information to frontline nursing staff as needed. Must be familiar with best practice standards and how they relate to patient outcome.
