NP/PA – Lung Rescue Unit

UMMC’s R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma and Critical Care Tower is one of the most advanced trauma centers in the world. Our new Lung Rescue Unit will offer cutting edge ECMO to patients in need. This technology, in limited use at other hospitals around the country, will allow us to offer comprehensive treatment to those suffering from acute cardiac and respiratory failure.
We are currently seeking experienced Acute Care Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants to join our team!
The NP/ PA performs examination, evaluation, assessment and interpretation of clinical data to provide care to patients. Professional practice is in conjunction with other NPs, RNs, physicians and administrative support staff. The position offers a full time, rotating shift schedule.
The successful candidate will have completed a Nurse Practitioner program at the Masters level, with Acute Care NP certification. Eligibility for Maryland licensure, and prior NP or Nursing experience in adult critical care setting including emergency room is also preferred.
PA candidates should have completed an accredited program at the Masters level, and be eligible for Maryland licensure. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of two (2) years of experience in a critical care setting.
