A private practice in New York City is actively seeking a a board certified Physician Assistant (PA) for an excellent Circulating position with their staff.
In this role, the certified Circulating Physician Assistant (PA) will work in collaboration with physicians, nurses and clinical staff to provide outpatient health care and treatment to adult patients.

Job Description

The Circulating Physician Assistant (PA) will:

  • Contribute to diagnosis and management of patient medical care in conjunction with or independent from supervising physicians
  • Participate in daily rounding for varied physicians and complete comprehensive histories and physicals of hematology-oncology patients
  • Collaborate and rotate among attending physicians and explain treatment plan and benefits to patients
  • Conduct and document appropriate patient physical exam
  • Manage any adverse patient treatment reaction or any complex hematological or oncological issues
  • Order appropriate tests as needed or deemed appropriate by attending physician
  • Coordinate the collection of contributory results and reports to prepare for patient encounters
  • Document into electronic medical records in a timely, accurate and legible manner all information related to the visit, phone calls and any other related instructions
Required Skills
  • 2+ years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field
  • Board Certified Physician Assistant (PA)
  • Prescriptive authority throughNYS
  • Circulating experience
  • Patient oriented
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
