The OR at Penrose Hospital is a thirteen-suite unit performing a wide variety of surgeries, including: large orthopedic, trauma, open heart, spine fusions, neuro, gastric bypass, gyn, ENT, and large general cases. Established Robot Program for GYN, GNL, and Urology Program.
Duties and responsibilities include: preparing for surgical procedures, administering medications, monitoring patient status, and participating in problem-solving activities, while anticipating the needs of the patient and the operating team at all times.
• CVOR experience preferred/OR experience required.
• Current Colorado RN licensure.
• BLS required by date of hire.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing;
• BSN preferred.
Penrose-St. Francis Health Services is a full-service, 522-bed acute care, two hospital system in Colorado Springs which includes Penrose Hospital and St. Francis Medical Center. This 172-bed facility is the only full-service hospital in Northern Colorado Springs and features a modern Birth Center, Level IIIA Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Pediatric Care Unit, Emergency Department, Level IV Trauma Center, Imaging Services, Surgical Services, and Critical Care Unit. It is also the home base for the Flight For Life Colorado air ambulance helicopter service.
Additional services include home care, urgent care, behavioral health, outpatient rehabilitation and community wellness programs.
