Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing
Current Colorado RN License
Current BLS certification required from American Heart Association

PATIENT & FAMILY CARE
Assesses patients' physical, psychosocial, cultural and spiritual needs through observation, interview, review of records and clinical data
Evaluates patients' response and intervenes in a timely manner to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Effectively performs a variety of therapeutic / diagnostic interventions including but not limited to IVs, wound care, medication administration, specimen collection, catheterization, orthopedic and minor surgical procedures, conscious sedation and behavioral interventions
Ensures safety of each patient in least restrictive manner Implements patient plan of care and observes outcomes in accordance with nursing standards and physician directions
Assesses patient / family learning style and appropriately teaches and documents understanding
Engages patient / family to foster commitment to comply with plan of care
Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to develop and implement holistic, individualized plan of care
Serves as a patient advocate
Anticipates needs of provider, staff, patient and family, and follows through with appropriate actions Effectively uses time, personnel, equipment and supplies to provide high quality, cost effective delivery of patient care
Adapts to rapidly changing technologies, policies, regulations, census and staffing through priority setting and flexibility
Maintains high skill level through ongoing education/meeting attendance
Attends staff meetings or reads minutes from meeting
Utilizes nursing process for departmental objective Demonstrates knowledge of Hospital and Emergency Department policies and procedures and complies with these policies
