    Position Summary

    Provides orientation and ongoing education to all employees inNew JerseyHospice facilities. Identifies learning needs of staff. Collaborates with supervisors to identify trends and learning/ development needs. Mentors new employees throughout orientation and beyond. Participates on committees related to education, quality improvement, and Infection Control.Promotes the implementation and evaluation of the infection control and employee health activities forNew Jersey.


    Recruitment Requirements: 

    ·   Current NJ RN license.

    ·   BSN from an accredited school of nursing preferred.

    ·   Certification in Infection Control (preferred).

    ·   CPR required.

    ·   Minimum one-year community health/homecare experience. Hospice experience preferred. CHPN certification preferred.

    ·   Experience in education using a variety of teaching methodologies and concepts of adult learning and/or performance improvement preferred.

    ·   Knowledge of federal and state hospice regulations, JCAHO accreditation standards, and compliance regulations preferred.

    ·   Proficient in Microsoft office and other PC applications preferred.

    ·   Strong communication skills (oral, written, interpersonal) and ability to work within an interdisciplinary team and with multiple departments required.

    ·   Ability to exercise independent judgment.

    ·   Ability to function as a committee member or task force leader.

    ·   Willing to promote the mission and values of the Sisters of the Holy Redeemer.

    ·   Knowledge of current nursing standards and procedures. Able to demonstrate nursing procedures within a skills lab or homecare setting.

    ·   Able to function in a rapidly changing health care system which may necessitate managing multiple projects and deadlines.

    ·   Valid Drivers License. Able to travel to patients' homes in all counties and throughout the health care system entities.

    ·   Able to use office and/or educational equipment including but not limited to telephone and audio-visual equipment.

    ·   Able to administer injections and perform HEPA fit testing

    ·   Able to become C.P.R. Instructor.

    ·   Ability to work flexible hours, with holidays and weekends included.
