Mount Sinai St. Lukes Hospital, with 523 beds, serves as the principal health care provider for the West Harlem and Morningside Heights communities and operates one of Manhattans few Level 1 trauma services. Founded in 1847, it is the home to the Al-Sabah Arrhythmia Institute, as well as other medical specialties including internal medicine, geriatrics, trauma, bariatric surgery, vascular disease, HIV/AIDS, cardiac care, physical rehabilitation, psychiatric disorders and substance abuse. The primary function is to promote and maintain a healthy workforce and a safe work environment. In this position, coverage will be provided between St. Lukes Hospital located at 114th street between Amsterdam and Morningside Drive and Roosevelt Hospital located on 59th street and 10th avenue EHS departments. The successful candidate will be conducting health assessments, interpret diagnostic screenings of tests, triage all client calls to the proper services, perform venipuntures when required, record, report and interpret employees responses to plan of care, work collaboratively w/the physician in planning for employee care and make referrals, order and maintain supplies and medication, interpret and file pre-emplyment physical lab and x-ray reports, maintain and submit monthly statistics of procedures to Nurse Manager and observe trends with in the institution. In order to qualify for this position, you must be a have a NYS RN license and registration, at least two years of relevant experience in Occupational Health or Employee Health Services, BSN from accredited institution.
