Director of Nursing Research, Education and Magnet

Responsible on a department head level to support the mission of the Beth Israel Medical Center and the philosophy and objectives of the Department of Patient Care Services.  Directs and supervises the development and implementation of education systems, programs and projects that promote and support the accomplishment of organizational goals and strategies in partnership with the Department of Patient Care Services.  Identifies, implements, and coordinates Magnet accreditation activities to successfully obtain Magnet Nursing status through the American Nurses Credentialing Center. 

 

Requires:   NYS RN with BSN and Master’s degree at least 10 years of experience.  PhD or EdD preferred.  Prior teaching experience in hospital, academic, or other setting.  Proficient in Quality improvement techniques and computer skills.   Experience in successful Magnet accreditation.
