Bachelor degree in Nursing preferred
Graduate of accredited school of professional nursing

Licenses and/or Certifications (Required and Preferred)

Current CPR certification required.
National certification in specialty area or will obtain within one year or minimal amount of time that requirements can be met.
Texas RN License

NURSING CLINICAL COORDINATOR 20305-1218 Proficiency Level

Consults and communicates with Nurse Manager. -
Facilitates the co-ordination of unit-based strategies for Patient Experience initiatives. -
Responsible and accountable for clinical quality of the unit through routine surveillance to include, but not be limited to: regulatory compliance readiness, documentation (charting) and clinical aspects review with problem identification and resolution. -
Responsible for the coordination and facilitation of unit based education related to the Nursing Care Coordinator role (ie. Core Measures, Hospital Acquired Conditions, clinical documentation, etc). -
Responsible for: day to day coaching and mentoring of the staff relative to the Nursing Care Coordinator role; being a role model; real-time feedback and counseling; and providing feedback to the Nurse Manager for annual staff appraisals. -
Special projects as delegated. -
