This position is accountable for 24-hour operational management, implementation, and evaluation of nursing are in Maternal Child Services nursing units including labor and delivery, post partum, nursery, neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) and pediatrics. The incumbent ensures that the level of care provided and the atmosphere in which it is provided are consistent with the mission and core values of Dignity Health. This position is responsible for collaborating. through cost effective processes, to address patient and community, optimizing efficiencies and establishing clinical outcomes and standards protocols for the population served. This position is responsible for the strategic business and clinical development of the Maternal Child Services, ensuring operational integration of hospital services and physician activities. The incumbent's primary objective is to provide collaborative leadership that will effectively integrate Maternal Child Services; ensure the effective development of these services, improve the quality, cost and efficiency of the programs and the accessibility of care provided. The incumbent will have a reporting relationship to the executive leadership of the hospitals and will insure the levels of service required at the various hospitals are met through a collaborative process. The incumbent will perform his/her duties in support of and in compliance with Dignity Health Compliance guidelines, JCAHO, and all other licensing, accrediting, and regulatory agencies. The incumbent will provide outstanding customer service and perform all job duties in a manner that supports and exemplifies the Mission and Values of Dignity Health/St Rose Dominican Hospitals.

Minimum - 7-10 years acute care facility experience in Women's and Children's services, 5 of which are at Manager or higher level with strong background and proven results in program development and expansion.
Preferred - 10 years experience at Director/Senior Director level over large volume (>4500 deliveries per year), high acuity service line including antepartum, labor/delivery, post partum, Level 2 and 3 NICU and pediatric inpatient, oncology and emergency services, gynecologic services.
Minimum - A Masters degree in Nursing required.
Preferred - A Masters degree in business or healthcare administration is preferred.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements, compliance with patient care standards in both state and federal regulations. Knowledge of management theory and practice for continuous quality improvement, finance, human resources, and organization sensitivity. Knowledge of current technology, pertinent health care rules, regulations, and accrediting agency requirements.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to develop strong professional relationships with all levels of hospital employees, physicians, patients and visitors. The
leadership ability to create a team and effectively manage conflict, problem-solve, make decisions, plan and analyze, demonstrate creativity, pays attention to details and recognize and reward others. Ability to work with ambiguity. Drive to achieve superior results.
RN = RN license from NV State Nursing Board.
