We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Registered Nurse to become the MDS Coordinator at our facility. As MDS Coordinator, you will oversee MDS assessments to ensure that they are properly reported in compliance with federal and state regulations. As MDS Coordinator, you must be knowledgeable about regulations and guidelines governing MDS 3.0. You must have strong organizational and time management skills.
Minimum Requirements for MDS COORDINATOR include:
: Current Registered Nurse license by the state of Illinois
: (1) year experience in a skilled care, long-term care facility or other healthcare related establishment in the intended position. Long-term care experience strongly preferred
: Ability to communicate well verbally and in writing required.
: Ability to perform tasks to established standards of excellence required.
: Transmit healthcare information electronically to State Agency
: Completing necessary documentation for federal records
: Checking patient charts for accurate coding in all areas
: Completing nursing MDS items, CAAs, PPS and care plans
: Directing our center's interdisciplinary RAI processes
: Following all company guidelines for completion, computer encoding and electronic state transmission of the MDSAs
: Demonstrated proficiency in RAI/PPS processes
: Experience completing MDS 3.0 and Care Plans
: Experience as a MDS Coordinator preferred with past Survey Results of facility recently employed by.
