Under the general supervision of the Director of Nursing Services, and according to established policies and procedures, works with and coordinates the training of other nursing and ancillary personnel to maintain educational requirements and professional standards. Work is of a confidential nature. Performs other duties of the department as required.
Education, Training and Experience:
Graduation from a nursing education program and current unrestricted licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina and one to two years of professional nursing experience is required. The employee must have the ability to understand, communicate and teach effectively regarding the unique needs of geriatric patients. Current CPR certification required and is provided. BLS instructor certification preferred. Long Term Care experience, Teaching and/or Staff Development experience preferred.
