Description

Making a difference with a smart, team approach to cancer care.

Each year over 24,000 cancer survivors and nearly 6,000 new cancer patients rely on the care and the compassion they receive at Continuum Cancer Centers of New York (CCCNY).  As one of the largest and most widely respected oncology programs in the country, we provide inpatient and outpatient services at Beth Israel Medical Center, St. Luke’s and Roosevelt Hospitals and The New York Eye and Ear Infirmary. We are currently seeking a Nurse Manager to join our outpatient Radiation Therapy practice at our West Campus location in lower Manhattan, New York.

As the Nurse Manager, you will be accountable for the effective delivery of patient care by working closely with a multidisciplinary team including nurses, physicians and a full range of cancer supportive care specialists. We will look to you to provide leadership for a dedicated staff providing state-of-the-art care. You will enjoy the benefit of seeing positive patient outcomes as well as seeing the growth and development of the nursing staff based on the standards you implement.

Specific responsibilities will include collaborating with leadership; leading and motivating staff; and overseeing processes and technology to deliver exceptional, quality care. You will also be involved in a variety of clinical and nursing activities including the development, implementation and oversight of standards of practice as well as QI initiatives. This is a full time position with Monday-Friday hours of operation.

To qualify, you must possess a Master’s Degree or be enrolled in a Master’s program, current NYS RN licensure, and at least five years of clinical experience including progressive management experience/success. A background in radiation therapy, including chemotherapy infusion experience, is essential as are strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills. ONCC certification is preferred.
