Reporting to the Executive Director of Quality and Decision Support, provides leadership and expert consultation in the development and oversight of programs that strengthen a patient safety culture and create a safe environment for providing patient care. Provides leadership for the organization-wide, integrated patient safety program and its internal and external reporting systems, ensuring that patient safety concepts are integrated into systems, processes, policies and services throughout the organization including patient care and support services. Works with hospital leaders to proactively explore potential system failures, to analyze and take action on problems that have occurred, and to encourage the reporting of adverse events and near misses, both internally and externally.
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, Public Health, Business, Quality, Administration, or related field required.
