Assumes responsibility and accountability for facilitating, communicating, and collaborating with both the healthcare team, and the patient/family to identify and meet the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of the patient. Promotes the optimal health, well being and safety of the patient through use of the nursing process and in accordance with patient care standards, guidelines and the State Nurse Practice Act. Demonstrates personal accountability for relationship-based care, organizational mission, and core values.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• BSN preferred
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
• Two years experience required
• Nursing skills and knowledge base specific to Emergency Room
• Current Colorado RN license
• Current BLS certification from American Heart Association required

Minimum 2 year RN experience required Critical care 1 year preferred, ACLS; PALS or ENPC upon hire
TNCC and ENPC (if currently only has PALS) within 6 months of hire
CEN highly recommended
ADDITIONAL UNIT SPECIFIC ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS REQUIRED:
Coordinates completion of 12 Lead EKG on patients presenting to the Emergency Department with complaints of chest pain
Coordinates completion of 12 Lead EKG per physician order
RN’s that have one year of Emergency Department experience may qualify for triage orientation per Clinical Coordinator and Manager discretion
Coordinates care of patient with Physician and ancillary departments
Performs assessment and re-assessment of patient with interventions
Stock Emergency Department rooms and specified area
Must be available for 6 shifts in 6 weeks including 2 weekend days. Also be available for one summer and one winter holiday.
