ABDOMINAL TRANSPLANT OPERATIONS MANAGER

Responsible for providing leadership and direction to Pre-Transplant Coordinators, Post Transplant Coordinators and Transplant Assistants. Collaborates with medicine and surgery physicians in the oversight of transplant-specific multi-disciplinary team members providing care to transplant patients across the continuum. The Transplant Manager manages the day to day operations of the Transplant Center, and call schedules to support patient calls and/or organ offers on off shifts. Assists in planning for future program growth. Develops training and educational programs that will provide the transplant center staff with the knowledge and skills necessary to function in their roles. Active involvement in the daily supervision of all staff including all human resource aspects.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
1. Requires current state of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or Multi-state Nursing License from a participating state in the NLC (Nurse Licensure Compact).
2. Approximately three years experience in the areas of medical/surgical nursing involving transplantation, renal, and/or dialysis, organ procurement nursing necessary to acquire and utilize knowledge of transplant regulatory requirements, departmental policies and procedures and to fulfill established standards.
3. Analytical skills necessary to prepare dashboards, power point presentations, budget. Able to interpret quality and publicly reported data.
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required. Masters degree preferred. MPH, MBA, MSN
