The Director, Outcomes Measurement works with the Clinical Affairs Team to create and manage an operational infrastructure designed to capture outcomes information in real time across the CTCA enterprise.  The role will be supportive of the works underway by the Clinical Affairs and Science & Medicine Teams relevant to outcomes and will be responsive for fulfilling and maintaining data requirements consistent with CTCA’s Treatment Results Management Plan (TRMP), working in concert with leaders across the enterprise.  This entails working with key stakeholders to identify and document data requirements and use these requirements to build an effective data collection and analysis system.  This also includes working to ensure that the needs of multiple audiences interested in outcomes data (patients, consumers, payers, board members, leadership and clinicians) receive data in a manner enabling enhanced decision making and directing efforts associated with measurement meaningfulness, reliability, feasibility, communicability and scientific support.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Graduate degree required in one of the following fields of study: healthcare administration, statistics/mathematics, nursing, research/public health, medical records or related health field.
  • Clinical background/knowledge required.  
  • Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in healthcare outcomes management.
  • Strong organizational skills; strong verbal and written communication skills.  Comfortable working with ambiguity.  Knowledge of healthcare outcome management, quality management and research principles required.
  • Understanding of computer systems, architecture and design.  Knowledge of how to document and collect user requirements and translate them into an effective design.
  • Comfortable facilitating group meetings and preparing reports working with people of diverse backgrounds, including physicians.  Team-oriented.
  • Self-motivated, able to carry out assignments to completion and possess a high degree of ownership, responsibility, initiative and attention to details.
  • Comfortable working on multiple projects concurrently, interfacing with multiple stakeholders in various ways within set time constraints/deadlines.
  • Knowledgeable of project management and change management techniques.
  • Sufficient understanding of intellectual property law to work with the CTCA legal team and Rising Tide to ensure proper treatment of all tools and metrics created, adapted and/or shared.
