Where you work matters! Swedish Medical Center is looking for a full-time Medical Assistant in the Breast Care Center at the First Hill Campus in Seattle, WA.
The Medical Assistant plays a vital role on the patient care team, demonstrating the Swedish values of patient-centered care and service; respect, caring and compassion; teamwork and partnership; continuous learning and improvement; and leadership.
In this position you will:
Greet and room patients in the clinic setting
Obtain vital signs and gather pertinent patient information
Accurately update electronic medical record (EMR)
Provide patient education about procedures and medications as directed
Required qualifications for this position include:
Graduate of a certified medical assistant program
Eligible for the State of Washington Healthcare Assistant certification, potentially including Levels A, C and E
Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and/or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and/or Basic Life Support BLS certifications
Ability to multi-task and prioritize
Strong computer skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated commitment to high quality customer service
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Experience using Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
Six months experience working as a medical assistant
The 697-bed tertiary-care center on the Swedish/First Hill campus is the flagship of the Swedish health-care system.
