The Clinical Program Manager-Clinical Resource Utilization is responsible for identifying, validating and improving clinical resource utilization for key patient populations. The Clinical Program Manager –Clinical Resource Utilization interfaces directly with MSHS Departments, Physicians, Administrators, Nursing, Quality Leadership, and Clinical Staff, facilitating team approaches to improvement in the delivery of care. Development of clinical pathways for key populations, through a team approach, is a major focus of position.
This position reports directly to the – Chief Strategy Officer and Vice President for Quality Initiatives

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Provides coordination and leadership in the execution of clinical resource utilization analysis and improvement plans.
Oversees the collection, compilation, and analysis of relevant data.
Provides technical assistance, resource services, consultation and education to clinical departments relative to clinical resource utilization.
Participates in and conducts process improvement analysis where applicable.
Responsible for extension of the program in terms of new services or areas.
Promotes an interdisciplinary approach in patient care delivery.
Facilitates clinical team approach to the development of clinical pathways for key patient populations.
Supports the mission, philosophy, goals and objectives of the Department of Nursing and The Mount Sinai Medical Center.
Maintains clinical competence.
Is responsible and accountable for his/her own nursing practice.
