The nurse manager ensures the department's effective operation including regulatory compliance, fiscal and operational efficiencies and achievement of quality performance measures. Such responsibilities encompass not only the department's internal functioning but also how it is integrated into the organization's overall operation. Nurse Managers help to create an environment or culture that enables the hospital to fulfill its mission and meet or exceed its goals. Actively participates in program development, implementation of evidenced-based practices and growth of the Women's Health Service line. Seeks to promote and helps to maintain through interactions with others, within and outside their departments a positive, professional team oriented and service conscious environment.

Minimum - Ten years nursing experience in acute care setting, five years of which are in a supervisory/managerial position.
Preferred - Demonstrated upward progressive responsibility in supervisory, managerial roles in Labor and Delivery Services including program growth and service line development.
Minimum - BSN required
Preferred - Masters degree in Health care Administration, Business Administration
and/or Nursing Sciences
RN = RN license from NV State Nursing Board.
CT CPRBLS = Basic Life Support CPR
CT NRP = Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification
CT AFM = Advanced Fetal Monitoring
