The Business Manager is responsible and accountable for providing clinical and administrative leadership to the East Harford Family Medicine Practice.
The Business Manager obtains and allocates available resources to assure efficient, effective, and safe patient care, based on current standards of practice. The Business Manager is accountable for facilitating a collegial relationship between nurses, physicians, and other healthcare providers and for promoting service delivery which results in patient and family satisfaction. The Business Manager collaborates with other members of leadership to create an environment that promotes excellence in clinical practice. .
This is a busy family practice. Incumbent would be responsible for supervising 10 staff members and supporting five providers.
This office is open Monday thru Friday. -NO WEEKEND OR CALL
Education: Bachelor Degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired
.Experience: Minimum of five (5) years experience in medical billing and management of a large medical practice. Thorough understanding of CPT/ICD9 coding.Licensure: None required.
Skills: Excellent professional, interpersonal and communicative skills. Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong problem-solving abilities. Strong informatics capability and experience synthesizing data to identify trends. Proven ability to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously. Ability to interact effectively with individuals from across all levels of the organization in an environment of partnership and collaboration.
Supervisory and Physician Office experience required
Strong systems experience required to support a new electronic medical records system
Leadership ability to inspire and motivate all levels of staff and medical providers required.
Must have excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
Must be self-directed
Knowledge of Patient-Centered Medical Home standards required.
Must have recent outpatient experience working with EMR. Knowledge of ACO is a plus.
