Job Summary: The Nurse Practitioner (NP) functions as a member of the Nurse Practitioner Health Care Clinic. Under the direction of and in collaboration with a physician on-call, the NP assists in managing non-urgent, episodic healthcare. Additionally, in collaboration with the physician on-call, the NP will assess and follow-up on work related injuries for all Froedtert
Health staff members. This position is responsible in conducting ongoing reviews of process flows to ensure efficient system operations. The NP is also responsible to develop and conduct health education prevention and awareness programs for staff. Other duties as assigned.Minimum two years adult/family practice nursing experience required and knowledge of Occupational Medicine in regards to Workmans Compensation is preferred. Experience working with EPIC electronic medical record highly preferred.
Experience: A minimum of two years of adult/family practice nursing experience is required.

Education: Graduate of an accredited professional school of nursing is required. Graduate of a Nurse Practitioner Program which meets ANCC or AANP requirements for certification is
Licensure: Requires current state of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or a Multi-state Nursing License from a participating state in the NLC (Nurse Licensure Compact). Certification as an Advanced Practice Nurse Prescriber by the Wisconsin State Board of Nursing is required. Certification by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) is required. American Heart Association (AHA).
Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required upon hire. DEA Registration is preferred.
