The Recovery Audit Contractor Coordinator will serve as the central point person for all government claim recovery activities. Working closely with revenue cycle departments and clinical teams, he/she will coordinate deadlines to meet appeal guidelines. Through reporting and auditing he/she will develop recommendations and develop education plans to prevent future denials. Routinely communicates developments and activities to all stakeholders.
Required: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills, detail oriented. Demonstrated PC proficiency in following software applications: Word or Word Perfect, Excel or Lotus 1-2-3, Lotus Notes Mail or CCMail.
Preferred: Bachelors Degree as well as experience in business processes and accounting highly desirable. Medical terminology and ICD9/CPT coding experience preferred.
Licensure/Certification: Licensed in the State of Virginia by the State Board of Nursing
