The Crisis Assessment Specialist is a clinician of the Psychiatric Assessment Team who provides clinical support to the Psychiatric Emergency Room and medical floors at St. Anthony. This position requires a minimum of three to five years of clinical experience preferably in the ER and providing assessments of patients in emergent and crisis situations. In addition, Crisis Assessment Specialists must possess at least a Masters degree in Psychology, Counseling or related field. Licensure (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LAC, PhD, PsyD, or EdD) through the Department of Behavioral Health is also required. These clinicians must have working expertise in diagnostics using the DSM IV-TR/V guidelines and be able to apply these skills on the job daily. Moreover, Crisis Assessment Specialists should possess experience in case management and utilization review to finalize disposition planning for psychiatric patients in both the ER and med/surg floors. Milieu management abilities are also a necessity, as these counselors will staff the Psychiatric ER for twelve hour shifts along with an RN.
Master's required. Minimum of 3-5 years experience, preferrably in the ER setting. Working expertise in diagnostics using the DSM IV-TR/V guidelines.
This is a night position 7p-7a.
