Maintains an environment of safety for patients, self and others and supports patient safety initiatives.
Prepares patients and assists physician in assessment and examinations of patient including assessment of patient safety needs.
Assists physician in performance of diagnostic procedures, treatments, administers medications, and performs related tasks as directed.
Documents entries into medical record according to established policies and procedures.
Initiates communications to patients according to individualized needs of the patient as prescribed by the physician, including instructions, planning, and triaging with full consideration of patient safety needs.
Performs disinfecting procedures.
Cleans and maintains examination rooms and other assigned areas.
Documents safety and effectiveness of patient care equipment into logs.
Adheres to the American Nurses Association Code of Ethics.
Participates in performance improvement and quality improvement activities.
Recognizes, supports, and utilizes evidence based nursing practices.
Diploma, Associate Degree (A.A.) or Bachelor's Degree (BSN) from an accredited School of Nursing. Prefer previous medical office experience.
Licensure: BCLS , PALS , RN NC LIC
