The Nurse Manager has the authority and responsibility for establishing standards, including policies and procedures for nursing standards of patient care and standards of nursing practice.
Essential Functions and Duties:
*Manages the effective and ongoing programs to monitor, evaluate, and improve the quality of nursing care delivered to patients in the ambulatory setting.
*Collaborates and communicates inter and intra-departmentally and particularly with the Medical Director(s) of the respective programs to provide quality care.
*Supervises, directs, and coordinates the daily activities of nursing staff in a clinical setting.
*Performs patient care responsibilities as may be required. Required: Associate's degree in Nursing.
Required: Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing school.
Required: Five years of previous nursing experience.
Required: Current licensing as a Registered Nurse by the Board of Nurse Examiners of the State of Texas.
