Provide care to women with gynecologic cancers, precancerous conditions and complicated gynecologic surgical problems. Responsibilities will include overseeing the administration and management of chemotherapy, aiding in the preoperative and postoperative care of gynecologic oncologic surgery patients. This opportunity will allow for inpatient rounding on GYN oncology patients, postoperative patients and inpatient consultations. You will help in the development and implementation of systems and protocols that will improve the cost effectiveness and quality of patient care. You will enjoy seeing how your efforts have a positive impact on patients lives. You will also see patients in office located in the Penrose Cancer Center on the hospital campus. This will allow you to develop relationships with the patients throughout their care from the initial consultation visit through their long term follow up. All activity will be overseen by two Gynecologic Oncologists.
• Masters degree from accredited school of nursing OR Graduate of Accredited Physician Assistant Program.
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
• Two years clinical experience in oncology services. Gynecology experience preferred
• Current Colorado Nurse Practitioner License with prescriptive services OR Physician Assistant license and CO License with prescriptive authority by date of hire.
