In addition, we offer several specialized service units, including intensive care, pediatric/neonatal intensive care, rehabilitation, occupational health, continuing care and general surgery as well as a 24-hour emergency department with dedicated treatment facilities for chest pain, pediatrics and minor care.
Interact with the physician and physician office staff assuring admission requirements are met. Responsible for patient placement operations within Bed Management to ensure that patients are admitted or transferred between units or hospitals in a timely manner in accordance with hospital policies and procedures, and according to nursing care requirements. Assists when needed with Insurance Verification and Pre-Certification duties.

A. Graduate with a Bachelors Degree in Nursing from an accredited school
B. Current licensure as a registered nurse in Florida, or licensure from another state with verification of application and eligibility for Florida licensure by endorsement.
C. American Heart Association (AHA) BCLS certification required.
D. Minimum two years clinical experience.
E. Must possess the knowledge in medical and allied health services necessary to utilize screening criteria measured against the documented medical record.
F. Must be knowledgeable about medical terminology, levels of care, treatment modalities, and the health care delivery system with demonstrated ability to abstract medical information and interpret patient records.
G. Requires good interpersonal skills with ability to relate well with administrations, physicians, patients, and other hospital employees.
