Full time position (80 hrs. biwkly.) available for Risk/Patient Safety Coordinator. This position assists the Hospital Director of Risk Management and Insurance, and Patient Safety Officer with all risk management/patient safety matters involving the Hospital and its affiliated and subsidiary organizations. The Risk/Patient Safety Coordinator must possess the ability to perform extensive clinical investigations and analysis in order to assess potential liability and identify opportunities to improve patient safety. Specific duties include, but are not limited to reading, analyzing and interpreting patient medical records/charts, responding effectiviely to sensitive inquiries and complaints, providing timely assistance in the review and analysis of potential risk situations. The Risk/Patient Safety Coordinator must use independent judgment to assess potential liability and/or patient safety situations and evaluate the potential exposure to the Hospital involving various situations.
