Nurse Practitioner, Neurosurgery Service

The University of Maryland Medical Center (UMMC) is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our Neurosurgical Service Team.  We seek a motivated Acute Care NP to participate in the management of patients presenting with neurosurgical interventions.  This is a truly outstanding opportunity for an NP who is interested in neurosurgery and wants to be a member of a multidisciplinary team.  Clinical and educational collaboration is expected. Continuing education in the subspecialty is encouraged and supported.

The successful candidate will have completed a Nurse Practitioner program, with acute care NP certification. Maryland licensure or eligibility is also required. The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication skills, and have a minimum of two (2) years experience in a critical care setting.  Prior experience with postoperative neurosurgical nursing care is preferred. The position offers a full time, rotating shift schedule.
