Unit Detail:
The Transplant / Hepatology / Renal Unit – 4BT is a step-down ICU environment providing complex care to patients with multisystem involvements. There are many opportunities to learn and grow. This unit is clinically challenging and emotionally rewarding-a unit that is changing lives one patient at a time.
Job Summary:
Utilizes the nursing process to ensure quality patient care is provided throughout the episode of care.
Provides a therapeutic environment through safe, accurate, and timely medication and IV administration.
Communicates to the team, co-workers, patients, and family members and evaluates understanding of informational manner.
Ensures complete, accurate, and timely written communication of patient information.
Assumes responsibility for the nursing components of the patient/family/significant other educational process.
Education
Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
BSN is highly encouraged
Licenses and/or Certifications (Required and Preferred)
Current license to practice professional nursing in the state of Texas or eligibility to do so required.
Current CPR certification required.
