Emergency Room RN

A prestigious hospital in Massachusetts is currently seeking an Emergency Room Nurse/ ER RN! This is a full-time position. The nursing professional chosen for this position will be responsible for providing professional nursing care for assigned patients in the emergency department.

The Emergency Room RN:

• Triages each patient and determines priority of care based on physical, psychological and social needs as well as factors influencing patient flow through the emergency care system
• Makes quick and accurate assessments about incoming patients, including both physical and mental health conditions
• Performs focused assessment of chief complaints of each patient in a timely manner according to established triage guidelines
• Identifies the medical problem at hand
• Documents medical history
• Checks for allergies and current medications
• Obtains height, weight, body temperature, heart rate and blood pressure
• Takes blood samples, clean and bandage wounds
• Administers medications and maintain proper supplies of medical equipment

• 2+ years experience
• Active MA license
• ACLS/PALS
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills
