YRMC's 37-bed emergency department is staffed by physicians 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and serves as the base hospital for the area's Emergency Medical System. The YRMC Emergency Department staff treats more than 72,000 patients each year, making it one of the busiest emergency departments in Arizona. In addition to delivering round-the-clock emergency care that includes respiratory therapy, radiology and a pharmacy, YRMC's emergency department offers:An electronic patient tracking system that helps speed the registration process and provides the YRMC staff with vital patient medical information. Immediate access to the Cardiac Catheterization Lab for patients with suspected heart attacks. Comprehensive stroke care that enables YRMC physicians to use telemedicine technology to conduct real-time consultations with a Mayo Clinic neurologist when necessary. Air ambulance service to trauma centers in Phoenix and Tucson for the treatment of patients with severe injuries.

Relocation opportunity to Yuma, Arizona! The competent RN has mastered basic technical and organizational nursing skills. He or she is skilled in evaluating patient responses and uses past experiences in providing care. Patients and families are viewed holistically, there is a focus on outcomes, and care is delivered using a systematic approach. The competent RN is able to make decisions guided by limited experience, as well as policies, procedures, guidelines and standards. He or she consults with other members of the healthcare team when necessary. At the competent level, the RN can comfortably care for patients in his or her clinical area.

Arizona or compact state RN License BCLS/ACLS/NALS required as appropriate for assigned unit.

Computer proficiency (must be able to pass computer proficiency assessment).

YRMC will accept equivalent combination of education and experience.
