OFFICIAL RULES
1. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR TO WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR ODDS OF WINNING. ALL FEDERAL, STATE, LOCAL AND MUNICIPAL LAWS AND REGULATIONS APPLY. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.
2. Eligibility. The Nurse.com and TodayinPT.com Ultimate Online Job Fair and $30,000 Cash Giveaway (the “Giveaway”) is open to residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia who are 18 years or older at the time of entry and who are Licensed Registered Nurses, Licensed Physical Therapists or Licensed Physical Therapy Assistants (RN, PT or PTA license number required). Employees of Nurse.com and TodayinPT.com, Gannett Healthcare Group (including Nursing Spectrum and NurseWeek) (“Sponsor”), Gannett Co., Inc., or of any of their respective affiliated companies, subsidiaries, advertising or promotional agencies, and the immediate family members of, and any persons domiciled with, any such employees, are not eligible to enter or win. The term “immediate family members” includes spouses, parents, grandparents, siblings, children, and grandchildren.
3. Entry. Entries will be accepted only during the Nurse.com and TodayinPT.com Ultimate Online Job Fair which will be held as follows: September 29, 2008 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Eastern Time, September 30, 2008 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Central Time, and October 1, 2008 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Pacific Time (the “Giveaway Period”). You must register during the times specified above.
Internet Entry Only: Visit the Nurse.com website (www.nurse.com) or the Today in PT website (www.todayinpt.com) and click on the Ultimate Online Job Fair and $30,000 Cash Giveaway link to reach the official registration page. Follow the posted instructions, complete all of the required information, including your RN, PT or PTA license number, and submit your entry by clicking the “SEND” button. The use of software or other automated processes to submit entries is prohibited, and any entries submitted by such means will be disqualified. Each different chat room visited during the Giveaway Period of the Ultimate Online Job Fair and $30,000 Cash Giveaway will improve your odds of winning. You must register each day of the Giveaway Period in order to be eligible for each daily drawing. Only (1) entry per day per person.
By registering during the Giveaway Period your entry will qualify you for all daily drawings that take place in the morning on the date after your entry. Sponsor will not be responsible for incomplete, lost, late, misdirected or illegible entries or for failure to receive entries due to transmission failures or technical failures of any kind, including, without limitation, malfunctioning of any network, hardware or software, whether originating with sender or Sponsor. In the event of a dispute, all online entries will be deemed to have been submitted by the owner of the ISP account from which they were sent. For these purposes, an ISP account holder shall mean the natural person assigned to such ISP account by the Internet access provider, online service provider or other organization responsible for assigning ISP addresses for the domain associated with such ISP account. All entries become property of Sponsor and none will be returned. Any questions regarding the number of entries submitted or the owner of an ISP account shall be determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion, and Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any entries by persons determined to be tampering with or abusing any aspect of the Giveaway.
4. Winner Selection. Sponsor will randomly draw one (1) Daily Top Prize Winner and one (1) Daily Secondary Prize Winner from all eligible entries received each day during the Giveaway Period. Only one (1) prize per person. Drawings will be held at approximately 9 a.m. (Eastern Time) on September 30, October 1, and October 2, 2008.
5. Prizes and Odds. Each of the three (3) Daily Top Prize Winners will receive $10,000 in cash. Each of the three (3) Daily Secondary Prize Winners will receive an 80GB Classic Video I-Pod with an approximate retail value of $250 each. Total value of all prizes offered in the Giveaway is $30,750. Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received.
6. Winner Notification and Acceptance. Winners will be notified by 3 p.m. (Eastern Time) on the day of selection at the telephone number and/or email address provided on winner’s entry form. Sponsor’s inability to reach a winner, the failure of a winner to timely respond to any prize notification, the return of any prize notification as undeliverable, and/or a winner’s failure to comply with any term or condition of these Official Rules may, in Sponsor’s discretion, result in the winner’s disqualification and the selection of a substitute winner from among all remaining eligible entries. Winners may waive their right to receive prizes. Prizes are nonassignable and nontransferable. No substitutions allowed by winner. Prizes and individual components of prize packages are subject to availability and Sponsor reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal or greater value. Winners are solely responsible for reporting and payment of any taxes on prizes. Winners may be required to complete an affidavit of eligibility, and a liability and publicity release (except where prohibited by law) which must be returned prior to delivery of the prize. Failure to complete, sign and return the affidavit or release, or to comply with any term or condition of these Official Rules, may result in a winner’s disqualification, the forfeiture of his or her interest in the prize, and the award of the prize to a substitute winner. Except where prohibited, acceptance of any prize constitutes each winner’s consent to the publication of his or her name, biographical information and likeness in any media, including the Internet, for any commercial or promotional purpose, without limitation or further compensation. Prizes not won and claimed by eligible winners in accordance with these Official Rules will not be awarded and will remain the property of Sponsor.
7. Participation. By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of Sponsor. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify persons found tampering with or otherwise abusing any aspect of this Giveaway as solely determined by Sponsor. In the event the Giveaway is compromised by a virus or non-authorized human intervention, tampering or other causes beyond the reasonable control of Sponsor, which corrupts or impairs the administration, security, fairness or proper operation of the Giveaway, Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to suspend, modify or terminate the Giveaway. Should the Giveaway be terminated prior to the stated expiration date, Sponsor reserves the right to award prizes based on the entries received before the termination date.
8. Construction. The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision of these rules shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision. In the event that any such provision is determined to be invalid or otherwise unenforceable, these rules shall be construed in accordance with their terms as if the invalid or unenforceable provision was not contained therein.
9. Sponsor. The Nurse.com and TodayinPT.com Ultimate Online Job Fair and $30,000 Cash Giveaway is sponsored by Gannett Healthcare Group, whose decisions regarding the selection of winners and all other aspects of the Giveaway shall be final and binding in all respects. Sponsor will not be responsible for typographical, printing or other inadvertent errors in these Official Rules or in other materials relating to the Giveaway.
