Florida Nurses Earn Certifications, Recognitions

The Cornell Institute for Rehabilitation Medicine at Bethesda Memorial Hospital (Boynton Beach, Fla.) — The hospital announced four of its nurses passed the Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse Exam. The newly certified nurses include Lisa Terry, RN; Eric Stevens, RN; Sheryl Jensen, RN; and Dona Browne, RN. Florida Hospitals Earn Coveted Beacon Award

American Association of Critical-Care Nurses named 54 adult, pediatric critical care and progressive care units from 46 hospitals as recipients of the fall 2009 Beacon Award for Critical Care Excellence, including the med-surg ICU at Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater, the CICU/CCU at Shands at the University of Florida in Gainesville, and the trauma surgical ICU at Bayfront Medical Center in St. Petersburg.
